DONNA: OWNER & PASTRY CHEF
Donna is the Owner and Pastry Chef who started La Petite in 2006 out of her home. She started the business as a way to keep herself busy in the future knowing that one day her son would be leaving for college. So in 2005 she went back to school to study Pastry Arts at the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts. While there she graduated with Honors and started to plan out her future. After graduating she worked out of her home and had a stand at Lancaster Central Market. Since then La Petite has grown into full service bakery, cafe and tearoom, specializing in French Macarons, delicious cakes for all occasions, and pastries. And now she has 2 adorable grandsons to keep her busy!
AMANDA: PASTRY ASSISTANT
Amanda is a graduate of Lancaster County Career & Technology Center, where she studied Culinary Arts & Pastry Arts. During her studies she was a member of The National Honors Society and graduated with Distinguished Honors. Since graduating, she has worked in the industry for over 10 years fine tuning her craft. She is an amazing cake decorator with incredible skills and loves perfecting the details that make every cake or dessert she creates extra special. She is always keeping up with the trends and she loves a challenge. In addition to decorating cakes and other desserts she is also in charge of our French Macaron production and teaches classes and workshops. She loves what she does and her work reflects it.
